    Summary: CalendarKit is built with a strict 100% privacy-first and client-side architecture. We do not collect, store, track, sell, or transmit any of your personal data, browsing history, search terms, or screen captures to external servers. Everything runs entirely inside your local browser.
  

1. Data Collection & Processing

CalendarKit does not operate any external servers or databases. All features operate locally within your browser:

Google Calendar: CalendarKit displays your Google Calendar via an official Google embed iframe. Authentication, calendar events, and schedule data are handled directly between your browser and Google's secure servers in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Smart Calculator: Mathematical expressions and calculation histories are evaluated and stored strictly in your local browser memory.
Text Grabber (Screen OCR): When you choose to select a screen area, the captured image region is processed 100% offline on your device using local WebAssembly (Tesseract.js). Captured images and extracted text never leave your machine.
Multi Finder (In-Page Search): Searches and highlights keyword terms directly in your active webpage's DOM. Your search queries, term counts, and navigation positions are never logged, tracked, or sent anywhere.

2. Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage APIs (chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync) strictly to preserve your user preferences across browser sessions:

This data is stored purely on your personal device and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or resetting its settings.

3. Permissions & Justification

CalendarKit requests only the minimum set of permissions necessary to deliver its core productivity features, in compliance with Chrome Web Store Developer Policies:

storage — Required to save your calendar URL, calculation history, custom shortcuts, and highlight color preferences locally on your device.
tabs — Required to open calendar views, extension shortcut settings, and external links in new browser tabs, and to broadcast shortcut configuration updates between open tabs.
activeTab — Granted only when you interact with the extension. Used to capture the user-selected screen region for Text Grabber OCR and to open the Multi Finder overlay on your currently active webpage.
scripting — Required to launch the interactive screen-selection overlay for Text Grabber and inject the Multi Finder search interface on the active page upon your command.
Host Permissions (<all_urls>) — Required exclusively to allow the Multi Finder search overlay and Text Grabber selection tool to function across any standard webpage you choose to use them on. No webpage content is collected, stored, or transmitted to any third party.

4. Third-Party Services & Analytics

CalendarKit contains zero third-party tracking scripts, zero advertising networks, and zero analytics SDKs. We do not use Google Analytics or any telemetric tracking services.

5. Security

CalendarKit is built strictly on Manifest V3, adhering to Google Chrome's latest security, permission, and sandboxing standards. Content scripts run in isolated execution environments to ensure safe and tamper-proof operation.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we update our privacy policy in future versions, the revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
